As a KonMari Consultant, I support and guide my clients as they transform their chaos into order and process years worth of clutter. Through the experience of organizing, they put their life in order, get clear on their priorities, and take action. We methodically sort through their most personal, treasured, or sometimes neglected or mindlessly collected items in order to move forward in life. I have witnessed stress melt away from my clients’ faces after tackling what they’ve put off too long. It’s powerful therapy.

I came to entrepreneurship after training to be a Spanish teacher and then working for a couple of years as a Study Abroad Program Manager at a company headquartered here in Austin. Although I loved the work I was doing and the people I worked with, the nine-to-five cubicle life was wearing me down and I wished I could witness the results of the work I was doing. After the untimely death of my father I quit my job and began searching for more meaningful work and a more meaningful life.

I found organizing as a profession in a casual conversation with someone. Soon after, I started taking odd organizing jobs as a side gig in 2014 while I figured out my next move. I read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up in 2015 and immediately tidied my own home according to the KonMari Method. The difference was astounding — even as an organized person, I was holding on to more than I needed, including attachments to the past and anxieties about the future. When I let go of all the things that didn’t “spark joy” I could more clearly see what I truly cherish. I was so moved by the experience I established Organized for Good, LLC in 2016 so I could offer support to others ready to shed layers and uncover new sides of themselves.

Soon after I started my business, fate would have it that Marie Kondo started a consultant training program, and I enrolled in her first course ever offered outside Japan. After a long training process including photo evidence from my own home, 50 practice hours and a final exam, I became Austin’s first Certified KonMari Consultant in 2017.

When I’m not tidying, I’m practicing yoga, spending time with my husband and our dog Dife (“Dee-Fay”), or traveling the world.
